Our most popular model is the 6x8 slope front, decorative design with stain, and we can get you one installed. Let us get you a quote for your location or if you want a larger sloped front we have those available as well.
Slope Front Shelters are a great choice for tornado safety. However, be sure you have the proper clearance to allow the truck dropping off the shelter to the area you are installing the shelter. See the illustration for more information.

Flat Top Concrete Shelters:
Our flat top shelters are available in 2 sizes: Small and Jumbo Dimensions for Small Flat Top: Interior: 5'x7'x6'2" Dimensions for Jumbo Flat Top: Interior: 6'8"'x10'x6'2" Flat Top Shelters are essentially the same as the slope front, but some people find them more attractive and less obtrusive, since they don't stick up as much after installation. Clearance needed by the trucks for these shelters is similar to the slope front unit. Hausner's has decided to discontinue the production of flat top garage units. As such we are no longer able to offer this style of product. However, we are more than prepared and excited to help you find a high quality, suitable alternative such as a safe room or slope front shelter! They have also been tested at Texas Tech’s Wind Science & Engineering

After Hausner’s has installed your storm shelter, you may find creative ways
to enhance the appearance of their storm shelter. Landscape timbers, railroad
ties and stone are used in interesting ways.

Our storm shelters are designed and constructed with your protection in mind.
They are reinforced with fiber mesh as well as steel rebar, and they are poured with a
minimum of 6,000 psi concrete; a normal driveway has 3000-4000 psi concrete.

The small storm shelter can be carried in with a backhoe.
On the Flat Top shelters, a spring-operated 120# capacity door opener has
been utilized and requires no post, pulley or cable to operate. On the Slope
Front shelters, we use a hydraulic strut. The door can be located in the top of
the unit according to the contractor or homeowner specifications.
Before You Order Your Shelter
The trucks that deliver the shelters must be able to get to the area where your
shelter will be installed. This means that our trucks must have clearance to
the installation location. Hausner’s trucks are large; they need a minimum 9’
of width and 13 1/2' of clearance.
Also, in order to install your shelter, OKIE requires very accurate directions to the
installation location. Please be prepared to give us these directions to the tenth
(1/10) of a mile in order for us to get OKIE to mark the proposed shelter location.

IMPORTANT: In some instances there will be excess dirt left over after the installation of your shelter, especially when purchasing a flat top in ground shelter. It is the customer's responsibility to remove any excess dirt. Our installers don't have the necessary dump truck, trailer or dump site as they travel from many hours away to bring the shelter. A lot of times you may have a friend or neighbor or local contractor who have the necessary equipment and may want the dirt and will remove it for you. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
