They are built with Mennonite traditional craftsmanship. Derksen makes three different styles of barns, the original, lofted, and side-lofted. ​

The original barn does not have any shelving like the others do. These buildings can be made of metal, painted, treated, and urethane. The smallest size is an 8x12 and the largest is 12x16. The barn comes with 48" high side walls. Don't worry about the space because there is an ample amount of space inside due to the extra head room. 

The lofted barn comes with extra storage space as well! This style also comes in five different types of materials; metal, painted, treated, urethane, and z-metal. Z-metal goes vertical unlike the regular metal which goes horizontal. 8' wide buildings come with a single shop built door while 10' and larger comes with double shop built doors. The metal buildings come in sizes as small as 8x12 and they can be as big as 12x24. The other materials start at 8x12 and round off at 16x50.

The side lofted barn has shelves just like the lofted barn. The difference between the lofted and side lofted barns are that on these buildings, the doors are on the side of the building. Side lofted barns come standard with two 2x3 windows. The material is still the same as the five used to build the lofted barns.
