Traeger Hardwood Smoked BBQ Brisket Recipe![]() With just two ingredients: your 12-14 lb. brisket, and some Traeger Beef Rub, plus a little bit of time, you'll have a perfectly cooked, BBQ brisket full of flavor. Prep: 9 hours Cook: 9 hours Feeds: 12-14 Ingredients 1 (12-14 lb) Whole Packer Brisket Traeger Beef Rub, as needed Preparation Coat meat liberally with Traeger Beef Rub. When seasoned, wrap brisket in plastic wrap. Let the wrapped meat sit 12 to 24 hours in the refrigerator. When ready to cook, set the Traeger to 225℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes. Place meat fat side down on the grill grate and cook for 6 hours or until internal temperature reaches 160℉. Remove brisket from the grill and wrap in foil. Place foiled brisket back on grill and cook until it reaches a finished internal temperature of 204℉ this should take an additional 3-4 hours. Remove from grill and allow to rest in the foil for at least 30 minutes. Slice. Enjoy! *Cook times will vary depending on set and ambient temperatures. Not Your Mama's Meatloaf![]() Personally, I liked my mama's meatloaf. But I would add an upgrade on smoke flavor any day! Prep: 15 minutes Cook: 2 hours Feeds: 6-8 Ingredients Meatloaf 2 lb Ground Beef 1/4 lb Ground Sausage 1 cup Breadcrumbs 1 cup Milk 2 Tbsp Onion, chopped 1/2 tsp Ground Sage 2 tsp Salt 2 Eggs, beaten Glaze 1 cup Traeger 'Que BBQ Sauce 1/2 cup Apple Juice Preparation When ready to cook, set the temperature to 225℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes. Combine breadcrumbs, milk, onion, sage, and salt. Add beaten eggs. Add both ground beef and ground sausage and mix well. Form mixture into a loaf, packing tightly. Place meatloaf directly on grill grate, and cook for 2 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 160℉. For the Glaze: Combine Traeger ‘Que Sauce with the apple juice. Glaze meatloaf during the last 20 minutes of cooking. Let meatloaf rest 5-10 minutes before slicing. Enjoy! *Cook times will vary depending on set and ambient temperatures. Traeger Smoked Pot Roast![]() This easy recipe starts with a chuck roast that is rubbed with a blend of spices, and then smoked directly on the grill for 90 minutes. Then drop the roast in a Dutch oven with potatoes, carrots, onions as well as aromatics and chicken stock, and let it cook for up to 5 hours. Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 6 hours Feeds: 4-6 Ingredients 16 oz Chuck Roast 1 tsp Garlic Powder 1 tsp Onion Powder 1 tsp Kosher Salt 1 tsp Black Pepper 2 cups Red Bliss Potatoes, Halved 2 cups Carrots, 2-inch Diced 2 cups Pearl Onions, Peeled 1 tsp Ancho Chili Powder 1 cup Sherry or Red Wine 1 Tbsp Fresh Rosemary 1 Tbsp Fresh Thyme 2 Dried Chipotle Peppers 2 cups Chicken Stock Preparation Combine the garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Rub roast with mixture. When ready to cook, set temperature to 180℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes. Smoke the chuck roast for 1-1/2 hours. Remove roast from grill and increase temperature to 275℉. Transfer the smoked chuck roast, potatoes, carrots, onions, ancho chili powder, sherry wine, rosemary, thyme, chipotle peppers and chicken stock to a large Dutch oven. Place the lid of the Dutch oven and place into the Traeger. At 275℉, braise the roast for 4-5 hours or until meat is very tender. Serve with your favorite roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes and gravy. Enjoy! *Cook times will vary depending on set and ambient temperatures. Traeger Tri-Tip Roast![]() Marinate your slab in Traeger BBQ Sauce, then shower it with Traeger Rib Rub for competition-worthy bbq that will have your neighbors hauling down the block. Prep Time: 8 hours Cook Time: 4.75 hours Feeds: 6-8 Ingredients 1 Tri-Tip Roast Traeger Signature BBQ Sauce, as needed Traeger Prime Rib Rub, as needed 1/2 cup Water Preparation Plan ahead, this recipe marinates overnight. Marinade the tri-tip in Traeger Signature BBQ sauce overnight in refrigerator. Remove tri-tip from marinade, and discard marinade. Lightly season with Traeger Prime Rib rub. When ready to cook, set temperature to 180℉ and preheat, lid closed for 15 minutes. Place tri-tip on the grill and smoke for 3-4 hours. Remove tri-tip from grill and place in aluminum foil with 1/2 cup water. Close aluminum foil, and increase grill temperature to 350℉. Place meat back on the grill for 45 minutes. Remove from grill and let rest for 15 minutes before slicing. Enjoy! Traeger BBQ Smoked Burgers![]() Smoke, beef, fire. You don't need much more to create a burger worthy of repeating. Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Feeds: 2-4 Ingredients 2 lb ground beef Cheddar cheese, sliced 1/2 Red onion 1 heirloom tomato Iceberg lettuce 4 buns Salt and pepper, to taste Preparation For the smoked burgers: Divide the meat into four equal 8 oz portions. Wet your hands with cold water and form each portion into a patty about 4 inches in diameter and 3/4-inch thick. Try not to overwork the meat. Season both sides with salt and pepper. When ready to cook, start the Traeger according to grill instructions. Set the temperature to 450 degrees F (set to 500 degrees if using a WiFIRE-enabled grill) and preheat, lid closed, for 10 to 15 minutes. Arrange the hamburgers directly on the grill grate. Cook for 6 minutes then flip patties. Turn grill down to 195 degrees and Set to Super Smoke if using a WiFIRE-enabled grill. Cook patties for an additional 7 minutes or until a thermometer inserted into the center of the burger registers 160 degrees F. The last few minutes of cooking, add cheese to burgers and place buns on grill to toast. Serve with your favorite toppings and homemade ketchup. Enjoy!
